Guided tour of the historic center, an old bakery and wine tasting in the wine shop

During the walk we will stop at an old bakery with a wood oven dating back to 1915. Here we will see a master baker engaged in the preparation of traditional bread and focaccia. After bread being cooked wood oven, we will move to a comfortable wine shop located few steps away, to taste Apulian wines accompanied by local snacks.

Welcome to Martina Franca

Martina Franca is located in the southern part of the Murge plateau. This part of the territory is called Valle D’Itria: a suggestive set of typical villages, green hills, Mediterranean scrub, olive groves and vineyards.
Martina Franca is a very popular tourist destination thanks to the baroque architectural style of its large historic center. In fact, exploring its typical and narrow streets, you can admire the Baroque style of its noble palaces, its numerous churches and the imposing basilica.
Religion, art and history are constitutive elements of this beautiful Apulian village.

The tasting in the wine shop

The chosen wines are produced by local companies using native vines. The gastronomic specialties were also chosen on the basis of quality and proximity criteria.
The tasting is as follows:

1. 2 local wines: a white and a rosé;
2. Baked taralli;
3. Local olive;
4. Fried broad beans or lupins;
5. Focaccia (flat bread) with tomato cooked in a wood oven.

Depending on the time of year, the tasting will be hosted in the internal room or outside the wine shop.
