My vision and how “Terra che Vive” came to life
My name is Marco and in 2018 I created “Terra che vive” to share my passion for Apulia and its culinary traditions. I have always believed that an experience goes beyond taste: it is made up of aromas, ancient gestures, and stories preserved by those who worked with the land. I wanted to create a dimension in which you could taste genuine products but also immerse yourself in the essence of the Apulian cuisine, experiencing authentic moments that remain etched in your memory.
My idea of welcoming you
When sharing my culinary experiences, I focus on hospitality as a fundamental value. I want guests to feel welcomed as if they are my friends during their vacations. I show them how to make fresh mozzarella, how pasta and cheese are made, with a lot of patience and dedication. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know the language or if you’ve never cooked before: here, everything is designed to make you feel at ease. At home.
Meeting local people and realities
I work with farmers, cheesemakers, cooks and artisans who guard the secrets of our land. Visiting a farm, seeing how extra virgin olive oil is born, approaching the vegetables of the garden or the vineyards is a way to discover the real Apulia. My goal is to create a deep relationship between land, culture, and people. Through these experiences, anyone can understand how everything here in Apulia embodies history, hard work, and love.
