Alleys, rowing boats and fresh handmade pasta!

A guided walk through the picturesque streets of the old Monopoli, where nature meets the Apulian Romanesque architecture and the seafaring tradition is still alive and strong throughout the village.
The old town is full of small alleys all around the ancient port crowded with the so-called “gozzi”, typical boats used for local fishing with their bright colors and sinuous shapes.
We will arrive in a small square with a romanesque church and a typical bar restaurant where a local Grandmother from Monopoli will show you how to make handmade pasta, following traditional recipes. The making class will start with the preparation of the dough (flour and water), after that every guest will make the traditional Apulian pasta such as the “orecchiette” (symbol of Apulian food) and the “cavatelli”, produced in the past in Swabian age.
At the end of the making class we will taste some typical traditional products, such as the famous EVO oil, an essential element of the Apulian cuisine, and Apulian cheeses served with a glass of wine.
