In the experience Visit of a farmer cheese factory with tasting in masseria you can do all this in a typical location, surrounded by the nature of Puglia away from the noise of the city.
The right activity for those who want to discover the secrets of the art of cheese making and taste the best dairy products and Apulian cheeses .

Welcome to a typical Apulian farmhouse!

The tour will start visiting the farm , known in Puglia as masseria.
We will discover together:

  • the ancient part of the farm and the modern farm recently restored;
  • how the characteristic Apulian trulli are made;
  • the ancient local stone church;
  • animal husbandry;
  • the organic garden;
  • an Apulian cheese factory where dairy products and cheeses are produced such as mozzarella, burrata and caciocavallo.

The farm is located in the heart of the Valle d’Itria a few kilometers from Martina Franca , considered the most beautiful baroque village in Puglia. Around you you will have the quiet and the colors of a great nature reserve, the beautiful Bosco delle Pianelle .

How are the Pugliese cheese made and how do they taste?

The experience will then move within the dairy , in the laboratory where every day are produced cheese and dairy products typical of Puglia. The precious milk is milked from the animals of the farm and then used for production. A short and controlled product chain, with high quality.
You will see master cheese makers at work while, using their skilled and expert hands, they will create tasty products such as mozzarella, ricotta, caciocavallo, scamorza, burrata. You will smell the warm milk and the spun dough, you will begin to desire the goodness of the dairy products and the Apulian cheeses.
Finally the experience is a the point of tasting consisting of:

  • dairy products;
  • wood oven products;
  • typical Pugliese salami;

The mozzarella making and tasting was very enjoyable.
It was fun for the baby to see the animals.
The lunch wasn’t as nice as I had hoped.
Marco was very knowledgable, approachable and friendly. He and others were more than willing to help me with the baby and entertain the baby!

We had a visit at a cheese factory where they make several types of cheese by hand. It was overwhelming to watch the creation as well as to do it by ourselves. Marco was our guide and he was great! Told us many interesting stories about the area, explained very well about the cheese making and did it with his lovely tips for later, his charm and kindness. The girls were happy with the tour as well as with wondering around and meeting the animals farm. The tasting was very generous we ate fresh and wonderful burata and riccota which had a creamy tender taste. We were happy to discover that Marco asked the kitchen about allergy in advance since we eat Gluten free and the kitchen served us gluten free bread.
To conclude with we are enjoyed the tour very much and also highly recommended for.

Complimenti. Se torneremo non mancheremo di ricontattarvi.

Un saluto
