E-bike tour with winery visit and Primitivo wine tasting

Discover the treasures of Puglia by cycling on rural paths

Riding on modern e-bikes, we will follow rural paths through the countryside between the towns of Gioia Del Colle and Noci. The excursion will allow us to admire some of the typical Apulian architectural attractions such as the ancient farmhouses and the iconic trulli.
The tour will stop at a historic abbey of Benedictine monks dating back to the XII century. Along the way, we will also see a stone stele commemorating the place where the first Primitivo vine was planted by the priest Filippo Indelicati back in 1799.
After arriving in Gioia del Colle, we will visit a local wine cellar. It is a small family-run business with 60 years of production history. The family cultivates the grape from which they produce several Apulian wine varieties.
We will be tasting three glasses of different types of wine, among which the Primitivo of Gioia del Colle, accompanied by the traditional taralli.

Possible options available upon request:

• tasting among the estate’s vineyards
• e-bike tour at sunset with toast in the cellar or in the vineyard
• tasting of typical Apulian dairy products (mozzarelline, provolone, stracciatella), local cured meats, baked products such as friselle dressed with local olive oil and/or tomato, focaccia, calzone with onions and more (selection based on availability).
