Welcome to a typical Apulian farmhouse!

The tour will start visiting the farm , known in Puglia as masseria.
We will discover together:

  • the ancient part of the farm and the modern farm recently restored;
  • how the characteristic Apulian trulli are made;
  • the ancient local stone church;
  • animal husbandry;
  • the organic garden;
  • an Apulian cheese factory where dairy products and cheeses are produced such as mozzarella, burrata and caciocavallo.

The farm is located in the heart of the Valle d’Itria a few kilometers from Martina Franca , considered the most beautiful baroque village in Puglia. Around you you will have the quiet and the colors of a great nature reserve, the beautiful Bosco delle Pianelle .

How are the Pugliese cheese made and how do they taste?

The experience will then move within the dairy , in the laboratory where every day are produced cheese and dairy products typical of Puglia. The precious milk is milked from the animals of the farm and then used for production. A short and controlled product chain, with high quality.
You will see master cheese makers at work while, using their skilled and expert hands, they will create tasty products such as mozzarella, ricotta, caciocavallo, scamorza, burrata. You will smell the warm milk and the spun dough, you will begin to desire the goodness of the dairy products and the Apulian cheeses.
Finally the experience is a the point of tasting consisting of:

  • dairy products;
  • wood oven products;
  • typical Pugliese salami;
  • Apulian wine.

It was a fascinating experience. Trying to make hand made pasta and seeing how cheese was made actually made it memorable . The lunch was amazing. Course after course ,was tastefully organised and presented. Thank you so much for a lovely day.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Generally, it was really easy to set up the experience and the responses were always very prompt. The tour itself was incredibly informative, our guide knew it all! The people working at the farm are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to show you how certain foods are made. It was really intriguing to be able to see the whole process of how everything is made from beginning to end – made the (very generous) tasting at the end well worth it, especially considering the price. We left the farm a lot more knowledgeable and with bellies full of delicious locally produced food, What more could we have asked for! We will definitely be back to this beautiful and delicious place.

We had a good day overall and an interesting experimental about cheese.

I would like to add a comment which would have enhanced our time
1- to have introduced us to others. Like wher are you from etc so that each member can feel inclusive.
2- it would have been nice to have shared our food despite having different menu choices. We sat on our own, yet later in the evening and meeting up with the family from Malta we’re able to have a good chat. They too would have liked to have had the opportunity to meet other people.
